Dr. Daarud received his medical degree from Loma Linda University, graduating with honors. He completed his residency at Sioux Falls Family Medicine in Sioux Falls, S.D., and has practiced in Boulder County since 1983. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Daarud specializes in family medicine, with particular interest and expertise in back disorders, asthma, vascular headaches, hypertension and preventive medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Colorado Medical Society.
He enjoys treating a full spectrum of patients, from newborns to the elderly, and emphasizes the importance of wellness exams and coronary artery screening. "I have a keen interest in helping prevent diabetes and heart disease," he says. "I encourage my patients to take control of their illnesses through lifestyle changes."
Though born in Tacoma, Wash., Dr. Daarud was raised in Boulder. An avid golfer and mountain biker, he appreciates living an active Colorado lifestyle.
